Hiya, people. I am still working on the blog. Things are not as yet as they should be, there’s still a whole, whole lot to tweak and add, but we will get there.

Instead of doing nothing though, I figured we should get right into the new style of doing stuff here on LS.

This Saturday morning, I’d like us to talk about: Making Lemonade.

You know how they say: “If life gives you lemons, make lemonade”, right? It’s a roundabout way of saying: Make the best of whatever situation you find yourself.

Sometimes, that’s tough for me, making the best of whatever situation I find myself. I mutter, I complain, I cry, I cuss, I wish and wish and wish… But guess what? That changes absolutely nothing.

The situation doesn’t change. The problem doesn’t go away. And I don’t feel better. Instead, I feel worse; might even wind up with a headache, or a worse ailment.

So, I’m trying to teach myself a new way of problem management, and that is by focusing, not on the magnitude of the problem, but on what I can do at the moment about it. And if there’s nothing I can do, I am learning to focus my time and energy in something else… Something else positive.

A quote from Pat Riley says:

“If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.”

I’m not sure who this Pat Riley is, but I think he is right. If we maintain a positive attitude and do the very best that we can, one way or another, we’ll find we can actually handle our problems… Or, at the very least, learn to live our lives without losing our joy.

So, how about you? How are you dealing with the many lemons life passes at you?

Have you found a unique way of making your own glass of lemonade? Share with us, for we are eager to learn from you. I sure am. Lol.

ROC returns tomorrow. Until then, have an amazing last day of the month.
